Snowberry is a unique deciduous shrub that becomes a real find for your garden and apiary. As an outstanding honey plant it can yield a record 400–600 kg of high-quality honey per hectare of solid planting. Its main advantage is an incredibly long flowering period — from June until the autumn frosts. The small pinkish flowers produce abundant nectar even in dry or cool weather, when other honey plants have finished, giving the bees a steady and reliable late flow.
Hedge and winter berries
Beyond its great value for beekeeping, snowberry has outstanding ornamental qualities and is ideal for dense, undemanding hedges. In autumn the bush transforms, covered with large snow-white (or pink) clusters of berries that stay on the branches all winter and stand out against the snow. The plant is undemanding of soil, tolerates urban pollution and regular clipping, and is highly winter-hardy. Snowberry seedlings are a sure investment that will both beautify any plot and substantially increase the honey crop of your apiary.
